 Steroids for a dog?
I took Alastor to the vet today for his rabies shot and mentioned to the vet that his mom had a reaction to the shot and asked what to look for. She told me. Then she gave him 2 shots and I was rather confused because he was supposed to be getting only one shot. I asked the vet what the other one was and she told me steroids. She gave it to him to prevent a reaction to the rabies!! I am not thrilled that she didn't asks me before giving my baby steroids and am now worried about what the effects of steroids could be, especially on such a tiny guy. Has anyone else ever heard of giving steroids to a dog to prevent a reaction to a shot? Does anyone know what may happen because of this? Am I being paranoid or do I have reason to be concerned?
