Another thing I want to add is that it's best to give these dogs canned food because it's so much higher in moisture which is important in dogs who have had stone(s). You need to keep his moisture intake high so that his urine stays dilute and stones do not have a chance to form. If you only want to feed dry food, then you can at least equal parts water to each feeding. So, if you feed 1/4 cup at each meal, add at least 1/4 cup water to that food.
