i just got romeo a month ago from some previous owners (hes one and a half). since then he's really warmed up to us and loves his new mom alot. the problem is he doesn't like to play! other yorkies i've met love to play and are fiesty little dogs. i'd try to play with him but he just looks at me like i'm an idiot. haha.
my husband and i have throught that he might of been abused because when we go to pick him up he goes into the dog fatal position.
he gets fed well, is totally healthy, a really loving dog and loves to cuddle. i want the best for my baby and hope that nothings troubling him.
so my question: is there anyway i can coax him out of this ? |
You may be right. That's so sad, but I think in time he'll come around. Have you tried playing outside with a sqeakie ball? Being outside might quash some of his inhibitions. Worth a try anyway. They just have to get past the fear of being abused.
