I don't have his book yet, I'm going to borrow it from the library. But he basically says save up a $1,000 emergency fund first. Then make a list of all your debts from smallest to largest and each month pay the payment for each one and ANY extra money you have goes toward the smallest one. Once that one is paid off, you do the same thing but work on the next smallest one. You also have to make a budget and stick to it, no buying extra things you don't really need.
