Hmmm, it probably depends on what result you want. I would think you could solve it pretty quickly by training her to go on pee pads where the rug was. But if you want her to go outside exclusively, you'll probably have to start from scratch and limit her freedom in the house. Take her outside at regular intervals after feedings and reward her for successes.

I had the same problem with a chihuahua a few years back. I never solved it!
