Thanks to everyone for their words of encouragement.
No, Rusty's Momma, I didn't adopt them in Choteau. I didn't know about your organization. Unfortunately I'm on dialup and can't access it very well even now that I know about it.
Hartygirl, their names are Molly and Dolly. Dolly's name on the papers is Charlie, but since neither of them knew their names I changed it to Dolly. I don't know if that was good or not as Molly and Dolly sound a lot alike.
TLC, I will research the foods you suggested and see what I can do, right now I'm more concerned with getting the diahrrea stopped than anything. It is Dolly who has it more than Molly. They are both so terribly skinny, just awful.
Thanks again to everyone and here is a little more info on them:
Molly will go in and out the doggie door, Dolly will not go in and out and if out will stick her head in and look around but not go thru the doggie door. Nor will she come in and out the open door! She seems to fear the metal threshold. I am hoping she gets over it soon, as I fear she might get out and not be able to get back in and it gets very hot here in the day time.
The poor little girls aren't real pretty right now, they've been clipped very, very short to get rid of mats and tangles. Their teeth look pretty awful altho they both been to the vet for their teeth. Dolly's little tongue hangs out of one side of her mouth sometimes.
My Pom is disappointed with them, he is still looking for his "baby" Joi. It was so distressing to see him go from room to room looking for her. They were inseparable. I miss her terribly too, she was with us for eight short years, got her as a puppy and she never was anything but a puppy, I mean she even looked like a little puppy and walked like a puppy, so sweet altho she sure had a mind of her own. Never did learn to come when called and was extremely head strong....oh how I loved her. |
