But that is beside the point. Mia's full reg name is Cavendish's Hermia of Sylvan. My suggestion would be to contact AKC and see if you can get a pedigree for the dog. (I think they are $10) or at the very least, see if they can provide you w/ her birthdate.
Ideally you could contact the vet who has provided the dog's care in the past or the previous owners who had her for a while--if they did in fact have the dog for a while, perhaps they deserve partial credit for her current state. |
The fee for researching a pedigree is $15 but I believe you would need the dog's registration number to obtain it.
Speaking with a vet is a good idea, however, unless someone has authorized a release of information...they will not give you any information.
