I put myself through college and law school waiting tables. I think it is the best job for making a lot of money in a few hours for a young student. I started at Denny's working grave yard and then I moved to Plankhouse where I made just the bottom wage as a hostess but I got into the corporation ad quickly moved to CoCo's as a waitress and then the Peppermill where I worked for three years and made good money but in law school I worked at a five star Seafood Restaurant where the meals were expensive and so was the wine! I only had to work three 6 hour shift a week and I made good money.
The trick is to have a good chef and a good busboy that you tip well!! A good hostess helps too to give you the good the people and watch the rotation so you are not overwhelmed with too many large parties at once!! |
