I think they are like $600 at home depot and then tile the walls instead of get a surround unit. Is that something you could do?

I have a friend who refinishes tubs and stuff, he did mine at my old house before we sold it. The materials are cheap and it took about 3 hours for him from start to finish. I couldn't shower or bathe in it for 2 days. It looked gorgeous! He charged us $75! Nice guy huh???

We have a water softener and a whole house filtration system. We also have reverse osmosis drinking fountain on our kitchen sink and still, the water will stain.

$75! WOW Yes, very nice guy Good for you

Our bathroom is so small, even to get the tub out would mean tearing out walls. I'm doing good just talking my husband into this! I wish we could get a new jacuzzi tub, I'd love that

We're going to have to have some plumbing work done as well, so ours will be a bit more expensive...one estimate we got was $1030.00 That was for new walls, plumbing and refinishing the tub. The liner was $2000, that included the plumbing as well. We did get less expensive estimates too, but not much.
