My husband and I getting ready to remodel our bathroom and are in a stand off about what to do about the tub.
We have well water that is high in iron, which means I've scrubbed the tub to the point that the slick finish is gone!
We are trying to decide between having it refinished or having one of those tub liners put in.
I'm voting for having it refinished, which is about $1000 cheaper than the surround. It takes about 3 days for the refinish verses 1 day for the surround and we only have 1 bathroom! Still for a thousand dollars, I can be inconvenienced for a couple days. We have family near by that will let us shower at their house.
Anyone have any experience with doing either of these things? I'd love to hear your experience, good or bad.
