This is a semantics game again I see. I breed and I refer. I do not and will not condone brokering of dogs in any way. Brokering of dogs leaves a gap in the communication between breeder and owner. Breeders should bear the responsibility for the placement of the dogs they produce...AND be available for continuing support and exchange of information throughout the life of the dog. I am currently mentoring someone who is looking to begin breeding. When she has pups I will REFER people to her and she will deal with them on her own, with, of course, my guidance and support if she needs it. I will not be compensated nor have I ever been compensated for Referring anyone to another breeder. Referring and Brokering are NOT the same thing and should not be confused.
