The breeder that bred Lola is going to be out of town when she is supposed to have her pups, but she told me that there is another breeder in my area and she was going to see if she couldd help if needed. I could call my vet.
I have been watching videos and my breeder told went over it with me I just want have it down so I do not forget. If everything goes well this is what I got.
1) pup comes out.
2)break open the sack and keep it away from the mouth.
3) Wipe its face,
4)clear out any mucas from its nose and mouth with a baby susker.
5)this is where I'm not sure do I tie the cord? or stimulate it first. let me know if I am right and the rest.
If a pup is not out within an hour is that when I worry?
Thanks again, Christina
BYW she has 2 weeks.
clamp the cord after the sac is off the face... wipe the nose and mouth... keep plastic clamps on and cut between.. then wrap a towel.. hand size around baby and do the swing..... it should be breathing by then... then give back to mom.... tie off the cord with dental floss then remove clamp from pup,....they need the placenta...just dont watch... ugh
