Hi All,

My yorkie is 4.5 months now (18 weeks) and about 2 weeks ago I noticed many matts closer to the skin. He had lots of curly/fluffy black hair w/gold highlights and kinda looked like a little teddy bear - sort of like the typical yorkie puppy pictures you see around.

I did brush him regularly, but not with a metal comb (my mistake). I took him to the groomer and they said it was caused from the adult hair growing into the puppy hair and recommended we shave him, so we did. After shaving him, he had silver/grey hair and since then it has turned into a darker grey color.

My question(s): Is he going to stay grey? Will he not grow the curly/fluffy looking hair anymore? His leg hair is already growing back the way it used to look, but the rest of him looks like its growing back more straight than fluffy!
