I don't think size has anything to do with how long they can hold it. Teddi is only 3 lbs and she can hold it all day while I am at work and all night. She is 1 1/2 years old. My friend has a cockapoo who is the same age but a lot bigger and her dog can't hold it all day. Both of us leave pee pads out for the dogs but her dog uses hers and mine doesn't. The other thing could be that I have a standard poodle who holds it all day and I feel like my yorkie just copies what she does.
