This is exactly true. You cannot feed raw and kibble together. I am a raw feeder, I use prepackaged Primal brand raw meat. Many times allergies can be cleared right up through raw feeding.

Make sure you allow food to defrost overnight in the fridge before feeding. Defrosting in the microwave cooks the meat, changing the content of the food, rendering it less digestible and less nutritious.

Go slowly while making the switch, start by offering little bits of raw feed as treats. Additionally, to ensure the allergies clear up, you will need to feed treats aligned with this new diet. Some people buy freeze dried raw meat treats, sold at many holistic pet stores and others use fresh fruit pieces...
