my foster pup, Ted E. Bear, has a pending adoption. he is 12 lbs and is the sweetest guy. he has been with me for 6 weeks and it is going to be very hard to say goodbye. my husband really wants to keep him but that would make 5 and then there would be no more room to foster. we should know by thursday if the home visit checks out.
i'm already tearing up.

Awe, bless your heart for being a foster mommy, I'll bet this is so hard for you. I agree that dogs are loveable in many sizes, but it does seem that many who have to be rehomed are over standard. This is why I encourage everyone to purchase their pups from ethical breeders. Ethical breeders only breed within the standard range, and while sometimes they produce an abnormally small or large puppy, they will do their best to find a good home for that puppy.
