Yesterday, while I was upstairs on my deck, I saw Patton eating Bella's poop(I know gals it is disgusting, sorry
). Shortly after that, Patton began vomiting and pooping the poop he had just had. Then, he was weak the rest of the day, and I gave him a little Nutrical which he usually loves, but not this time, so I gave him some anyway. Later in the evening, he was ready for his supper and ate fine(a Porkie). Then, today the same thing happened. I was downstairs in the yard playing Frisbee with Bella(my Smooth Fox terrier) and I was about twenty feet away from Patton, and saw him eating her poop again. Luckily, I was closeby so he wasn't able to eat much poop, and there was no vomiting or pooping like yesterday. And then again, a short while ago, but this time I knew better than to be twenty feet away, so he didn't get much.
So, my question is this: Does Patton have some kind of deficiency that is causing him to do this. I have heard to sprinkle some pineapple on Bella's food and hopefully she will eat it with a little pineapple. I have also been told that a pill called deter helps this problem, but don't know if this is good for a puppy to take. Meanwhile, Patton has a vet's appointment tomorrow and so I will want to see his thoughts on this as well. Please tell me if you know what I can do other than these two suggestions to stop this disgusting habit he seems to be developing.
