Maggy May is only 6 1/2 months old and she has a hard time with the heat. I won't take her outside when it's so darn hot and humid out, she uses puppy pads as well as going outside to go potty, thank God for that! Do you have AC? If so, does your lil one act differently when inside in the AC? If so, maybe see if you can get puppy pads and have them use that on scorching hot days.
