Thank you! I have arranged all the legal stuff, even a mini-trust to provide for the dog's care. However, without family, it will be necessary for the trustee to locate a good home, and I was checking for ways to give valid leads way ahead of time (hopefully.) The trustee says he, or whoever is in his role at the time, actually make surprise site-visits to be sure the dog is well cared for. It was very reassuring. I know elderly persons who live alone, without the companionship they desperately want from a dog, just because they don't know how to ensure that the pet will be loved when they pass on. That's so sad! |
