I have Hypothyroidism too...I do use Synthroid, and have not had any problems with it. I do know many people that are unable to use Synthroid due to side effects. Blood test should be done on a regular basis to be sure the dosage is correct for you...best measured with a TSH. I seem to feel my best when my TSH is between 1 and 3. Mine started with Sub-acute Thyroiditis/Hyperthyroidism...it eventually burned itself out...although it seemed like an eternity and I felt absolutely awful during this Hyper stage. Hypothyroidism is much easier to treat...I feel human again!!!
