Id first check to verfiy that their is no underlying health issue with your furbaby. If this is not the case and only seems to be off track with potty training, maybe try crating?
If crating is not what you prefer to do then mabye another alternative is confinement to one room (safe with no carpet or rugs). Continue to take him to your specified potty area numerous times and give positive reinforcement.
