Default YTers, I NEED ADVICE. . .16 MO. GLORIA

Okay all you knowledgeable and dependable YTers, please give me all the advice you can to help little Gloria in this transition.

A little background: One day I was browsing through YT and I came upon a thread about a little Yorkie named Gloria who was for sale by one of our YTers. There was a detailed description of little Gloria and pictures posted as well. I thought she was soo adorable, and there was just something about that little face and those precious eyes. It seemed there were many interested in her and I thought she'd be to a new home in no time, not really thinking it would be mine. After reading a post indicating Gloria was still waiting. . .I decided I would love to give her a forever home. Well, first things first, I had to make sure my husband agreed, and that wasn't much of a problem because he loves our Lexie and Molly sooo much and he also loves me even more. And there it began.

My reason for wanting Gloria: Well, besides the obvious. A lot of you know I have suffered two major losses this year; my mother, 1/12/08, and my father,4/10/08 (happy father's day, daddy). During the illnesses of my parents, a lot of times the only thing that would bring a smile to my face was my first yorkie, Lexie. After long days at the hospital with my mom, Lexie was always waiting for me with lots of kisses. Needless to say, the passing of my mom was very difficult and I wanted to feel that unconditional love and give it, so that's why I got Molly. During the week my mom was cremated, I was loving and being loved by my little Molly and my Lexie. So off we are a month later, fighting the battle of cancer with my father. This time Lexie and Molly were able to go with me to care for my father because he was staying at my sister's with the assistance of hospice (thank you). So my precious babies were right there with me. Well, after daddy passed, it was even more difficult because I don't think I really had a chance to mourn my mother. My babies have dried my tears away many times with their sweet kisses. After reading about Gloria, I knew he would want me to have her for my birthday
(6/13) and then I remembered when he handed me my first puppy on my
10th b-day. My parents didn't have a lot of money, but they both had small life insurance policies for their burial and a small portion for their four daughters. So that's how I was able to get both Molly and Gloria (thank you, mama and daddy).

YTer Dena told me Gloria has a nickname of Glory. Every morning Dena would greet Gloria by saying, "Morning, Glory, what's your story?" So little Gloria will now be called Glory "B", B is for Ben, my father's name (thank you, Dena). My sisters and I thought that was perfect. So that's her story.

So little Glory "B" will be flying home tomorrow, Monday, June 16, 2008. YTers, I appreciate all the help you can give me.

Thanks for reading,

Sylvia
