I don't think that vet is used to seeing tiny 1.8 pound dogs... So, he's doing much better now. We fed him about a half hour ago and he took to the food (via synringe) very very well. We fed him more baby food than we did last time. I think he's getting better.
I think the problem was hypoglycemia. We will keep a very close watch on him today. |
I would imagine hypoglycemia as well but I'm not a vet. He is very tiny and this can happen often in these little dogs so read all you can on that subject and always have something with you that can help if and when this should happen again. I hope the breeder made you aware of this problem when they are this small. Just google 'hypoglycemia' and you will learn alot about this subject. Don't hesitate to ask us for help and we will help when we can. SO glad he is doing better.
