Hiya Moose and Mimi!!! Hope things are going well for you two siblings

Linda, thats' not an ignorant question. I think like any dog or puppy, you should work her up to the 3 miles gradually, after its ok'd by your vet. Especially if you're not sure what kind of excersize she had been used to at the breeders home. If you're going to do the full three miles, I would be prepared to pick her up and carry her at any signs of her getting tired. Sometimes they don't show it, sometimes they do
Oh, and yes, they can go that far, once used to it. My 6 pounder, Bitsy, can do 3 without a problem, as long as its not real hot out, and as long as I let her stop and "smell" the roses, lol
