The first judge said nothing adn seemed happy with her. The judge this morning said that she is large for a puppy and that I'll have to wait to see how much weight she puts on when she fills out. But she should weigh about 7.5 lbs full grown. The breeder said that the Westminster yorkies were 9 - 9.5 lbs and I suppose that it will depend on the judge. Waiting until her coat grows to the floor to show her again is also a good plan. Thanks, all!
I'm afraid that your breeder is mistaken. I've been to Westminster and the dogs are not that big. Chandler, the number one yorkie last year is 6.5 - 7 pounds. I know because Kirston told me so. I had a 9 pound pet and believe me you can tell the difference between a 6 pounder and a 9 pounder on sight. Like so many things with yorkies you'll just have to see when she grows up. The little boogers can keep us guessing until they are 2 years old. Good luck!
