I would like to add one more interesting experience to this post..before I got my little guy, I deceided to find the most reputable breeders in the immediate driveable area. I went to 4 or 5. Three were breeders who actually show at the "big" shows- have a long time kennel name which is known in the area , etc. One thing that bothered me about two of them..even with all the ribbons ( from show winnings)- championships etc, there were still over 30 dogs. The were in an air conditioned room.. but most of them were in crates.. and I do not believe very socialized. Also, they did not look very groomed. I just felt funny about the whole thing. It was not a mill..but "something" was missing. No real one on one time. I walked away..It is hard to think that having more than a few-- maybe 5 or so(?), can these furbabies really get care and enough love that they deserve. We are having trouble with just three dogs.. and thats spending all our time with them. Our home life revolves around these guys..
But all in all ,..this is a hard thing to really judge..and I am just expressing my own experiences.
