Sooo ... I will be leaving early Saturday to drive down to Denver. I have been putting off this request for days ... just didn't want to face the reality I suppose. My very best friend, my sister, my heart, is facing surgery on Monday for cancer. The doctors say it is "not good" after studying all the tests ... they say it has spread, just don't yet know where. I cannot and will not accept this! We became friends, joined at the heart, late in life and I will not believe anything other than we will get through this and she will be fine!! I cannot believe anything else ... am I wrong to be optomistic? I tell her ... we will beat this, we are "Steel Magnolias", tough old birds!!! She says, I have to be realistic! I believe in miracles and God's mercy! She is such a good person with a heart of gold ... she doesn't deserve this!!

Please, please pray for her ... she has to beat this!!
