My Myah is 6 1/2 months old and is the same size as your's. We also have a 16 lb. Bichon, Chloe'. I don't have any answers, as I'm in the same boat as you, but I was also told she is fine and will just be on the small size. I just thought it was cool that we have the same breed of dogs and that they are the same size.
