I too have been looking at insurance and it is all so confusing. At the same time I was looking my Yorkie hurt his leg a tiny fracture for which $3400 in surgery was recommended but I could not afford. I elected to let the leg heal on its own. My Diddy's leg is almost back to normal use with a tendency to favor the leg. The visit to the vet and specialist cost me $900. It seems that no visit to the vet in most cases are under $100 at least here in Canada therefore if you can afford it go for the $100 deductible. I am very glad I did not have the surgery though as the results could not be guaranteed but I would still like to get some insurance at some point. Good luck.
