Yes, your baby will stand his ears up .... I know that sometimes people will shave them, because they are too heavy to stand up, and at other times they tape them.
My Suzi is nealy 15 weeks, and is just now starting to hold her ears up
I would not worry too much about it. Let him adjust first, and give him lots' and lots' of TLC.
