I took Baxter for his first grooming today. I knew he was in bad shape with matts because he was neutered and had his dewclaws removed 3 weeks ago and I didn't brush him well then because he felt so bad. Now the lady at the vet's said they would have to shave him to the skin!! She said they could leave some hair on his head. Now I wish I had made him let me groom him. I hope he's not going to hurt from this. When I trimmed the hair on his tail before he acted like I had cut off his personality.
