I've tried numerous conditioners and don't mind paying $$ for good products. The one I'm currently using and highly recommend is a European grooming product line from Iv San Bernard. Their PEK conditioner is absolutely, hands down - the best product I've ever used! The few mats or tangles that my two get, this products literally makes them just melt away. It is recommended you mix the PEK with another of their conditioners, green apple is for long coats so that's what I use. And, you won't believe how their hair feels afterwards.
It can be difficult to find as there are not many distributors, but it is well worth the effort!
