THIS IS WHAT SHE WROTE:

"My Coco broke her leg on Memorial Day when she jumped out of her grandma's arms. She went in for surgery this past Monday. (The bone was not healing so the vet wanted to repair with pins.) Coco's little heart stopped just as the surgeon was closing the incision. I believe it was the anesthesia. Both my vet and the surgeon could not give me a definitive reason for what happened.

I'm told that broken bones are very common among the delicate toy breeds, especially the smaller yorkies. (Coco was 3.8 lbs.) Has anyone's baby ever encountered broken bones? Had this surgery?

My family and I are devastated and still in shock. She was a beautiful, spunky, healthy little bundle of joy. Her little sister is so sad and lonely without her. I just need some answers as to how this could have happened! Does anyone know how long this type of surgery normally takes? Perhaps she was under for too long for such a little dog???"
