I am looking for some advice or info about really bad doggie breathe. My yorkie is 1 1/2 years old and started having bad breathe when he was 6 months old. I know Yorkies are prone to have dental issues if you don't look after it, so since he was 6 months old, I brush his teeth every other day. Somehow this has not helped. I even took him to the vet to get it checked out but the doctor said that his teeth looked fine and could not bee anything visibly wrong with him. He is adorable but his breathe smells like rotting garbage everyday. Some days it just knocks me out when he licks me.
Does anyone else's yorkie have this problem? Is there something I can do to make it better. I just don't think it is normally for his breathe to smell that bad. I had a poodle-mix before and he had the most fresh breathe ever. Don't understand what is causing the breathe problem in my yorkie. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
