If he's AKC registered you can go to
American Kennel Club - akc.org and buy a research pedigree for him using his registration # and you will need the date his registration was issued, it's on the certificate just under the AKC seal.
Research pedigrees are $12 and you can save them to your computer in HTML format.
One thing to consider is that if the lady can't tell you anything about his pedigree.....there's probably not much to tell.
