Ear infection needs vet care immediately or there can be serious complications to it. It is easily treated at the early stage. I don't rinse water on my yorkie's head anymore to avoid water from flowing in to his ears. I bath his body and then I use just a little shampoo on a damp face towel and wipe his face and then rinse the cloth and wipe few more times to clean out the shampoo. That way, no water goes in to his ears.
