I am not sure about the name of the toxic ones but I do know that my 14 year old Yorkie licked one when we first moved to FL. It was the scariest thing I have ever been through. We let her in from outside and she started foaming at the mouth and convulsing. Then she went blind and was hallucinating and screaming. While we were rushing her to the emergency vet we really thought she would not make it. I have never felt such panic. They said her heart was in arrythmia and if he had gotten there just a little later she wouldn't have made it. They treated her and she was as good as new.

I have learned that these particular frogs are mainly out in the morning and at dusk. They are all over here in South Florida so I am always on guard looking for them.

I am sure that you do not have this type in your pond and hopefully I didn't scare you to death but I just wanted to throw this warning out here since we were on the subject.
