It takes years for a yorkie to reach their adult color. And those yorkies are not white, they are silver. While it's not desirable, it does not have anything to do with having a maltese gene. Some are silver, some blue, some black, and lots everything in between. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the light silver guys- Sunnie is DARLING!!!
