I have my dogs trained not to eat food from anyone but my family. To train I had a neighbor give them a piece of cheese with hot sauce in the middle. After this happens a few times they learn not to eat food or anything from strangers.
I also put hamburger in my yard with a hot pepper in it. They won't eat anything off the ground outside either. I reinforce this periodically. |
