I agree the ground Chicken Soup puppy food is the best way to wean. Just let them continue to nurse on mom as long as she is willing. Usually by 8 weeks the pups will not need to nurse on momma anymore. Some might take a little longer depending on the size of the pups. The tiny ones definitely need to nurse as long as possible. Also, I always remove the heating pad when the pups are two weeks old unless it is winter and the floor is really cold.
