Actually, we had a pond, and the frogs would have come anyway -- so it's not that you did anything stupid, you are just aware which is good. You could probably work on training them to stay away from the pond; but I don't know. Our first yorkie got a toad (totally unrelated to the pond) on dry land and we had to wash his mouth out with the hose at the kitchen sink. So you just have to be aware on land and on sea.
