I got my male when he was about three months old and he had dandruff, too. I took him to our vet and he said it was common and he sold me an "emollient" shampoo. I also bathe my puppy (8 months old now) once a week and it was gone in two baths. I still use it and the dandruff has never reappeared. I'm sure your vet carries a similiar emollient shampoo, so if I were you, I'd call!
