Don't blame yourself. Edie had to have her 4 top front teeth removed at age 5. The vet says there was nothing I could do to prevent it.

I WOULD heed your vet's advice and remove the back tooth. Bacteria can invade the body and attack vital organs through the gums. That is why dental hygiene is so important to humans and animals alike.
