I fostered a female Peke following her bladder stone surgery, and it was amazing how she recovered so rapidly. However, it is the internal incision that needs time to heal.
Good luck and this is one disease that needs to be watched and specimens taken on a regular basis. Have you thought of a holistic diet when you find out the type of stone?
The foster was on Science Diet (ugh!) which is nothing but filler.
