Sophie came down with coccidia also, about a week after I brought Daisy home. Apparently, when I visited Daisy's breeder the week before I brought her home, I took Sophie with me and she picked it up in the breeder's yard. Since the symptoms were similar, my vet suggested I give her some of Daisy's Albon and I took Sophie in on Monday for the fecal test. At that time, Sophie got her own scrip of meds.
I'm not recommending that you do that, but it is possible your vet will suggest the same route for the weekend. |
