Our groomer, who also specializes in nutrition, told us that Yorkies do better on a poultry based diet since they can break down the food better and it is not as hard on their kidneys.
We are currently transitioning from Royal Canin to Solid Gold Wee Bits. Solid Gold is Bison and Salmon based...not sure if this is considered too rich for a Yorkie.
What are your thoughts and any brands in particular that you recommend? We prefer sticking to kibble vs. raw.
