Thanks for letting us know that, Kyle. Even though I don't live very far from the Philadelphia Zoo, I've only ever been there twice. That is so....sad.
I don't know the life expectancy of an elephant, but Petal sounds like she lived a pretty long time if she was the oldest African elephant in an American zoo.
Rest in Peace, now Petal. You made lots of children & adults happy just getting to see you.
