Your gal will be in heat about 3 weeks. One week coming in where the blood will be bright red, one week of standing heat where the blood will start to thin and the vulva will soften, and a week going out where the blood will take on a straw colored hue. This is average and each gal can vary. I hope the liver issue is able to be cleared up and your gal will be fine.
