Oh and also, once he gets used to his surroundings and his new food and is eating well, it would be a good idea to get him started on healthy treats like fruits and vegetables. Some dogs grow up not liking these foods if they don't get used to them as puppies.
Milo loves carrots, strawberries, raspberries, apples, peaches, sweet peppers, etc... Just makes sure not to give him cores, seeds and green parts of the fruits/vegetables because sometimes they can be toxic. I also give him Freeze dried liver and chicken for treats, because they only have one ingredient and I know what it is.
You can also look up poisonous foods for dogs, just to make sure what he can't eat.
