Awww....that's got to be hard on both of you!!! I think I would give him some time to get adjusted....let him sniff around and investigate (superivsed) and get aquainted with everyone and everything on his terms.
Maybe someone with more puppy experience can offer some words of wisdom on housebreaking and such.
Congratulations on your new baby though.
